The Program
Trail Blazers is an 8-week program for 3rd–5th graders that blends on and off-bike games, trail exploration, and mentorship. Each session emphasizes play and connection while building real-world bike skills. It’s not about racing — it’s about building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.

A Successful First Year!
Trail Blazers launched fall 2025 with weekly sessions every Tuesday from 5–7 PM at Baker Creek Preserve, running September through October. This inaugural season started a new tradition of fun, adventure, and community on two wheels. Then we opened up a second location for our next season, doubling our capacity and growing our community of young riders. Getting more kids on bikes exploring the trails is what it’s all about.
Program cost
$175 – includes all sessions, games, mentorship, and a Trail Blazers t-shirt.
Fall 2026 season runs from September 8 through November 3 (skipping October 6 for Knox County Fall Break)! Registration opens June 23rd. Contact us to receive updates.

Thanks to our supporters
Trail Blazers wouldn’t exist without the inspiration and support of other incredible programs. We’re proud to follow in the tire tracks of Appalachian Youth Cycling (AYC), Little Bellas, and especially the Trail Rangers developed by Georgia Cycling Association, which served as the foundation for our approach. We’re grateful to all those who’ve helped us bring this vision to Knoxville’s youth.
Special thanks to NorthSouth Productions, Hearst, Clayton Homes, and the many generous private donors whose support makes this program possible.
